small explorations

I have been creating some small drawings that focus on layering with ink and watercolor- this piece is rather small at 6"x6" inches.

A Typical Day

I often incorporate mixed media elements into my work; such as painted paper, cut acrylic paint, and string.  I have a stock of painted paper that I pull out and I also create new specific papers or shapes for each piece.

20 blank canvases

I often work in multiples, usually shifting from piece to piece thoughout a day.  This constant shifting helps me to maintain spontaneity in the painting process.  I typically begin several paintings at one time and develop each piece over several months.

Rockfest Poster

I was asked to designed a commemorative concert poster for the Electrical Audio Forum's Rockfest this February.    I was thrilled to work with this fantastic group of bands and people.
